During an operation being done on you, the area being treated was examined in magnified form.

A microscope or a special pair of glasses, for example, can be used to see the area being treated in magnified form. This enables certain details to be identified more clearly. As a result, the operation can be done with greater precision than with the naked eye.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
