Special surgical techniques and operations in special care situations: Use of a clip suture device and other suture system: Vascular coupler for microvascular anastomosis: With Doppler sonography

You have had blood vessels joined to each other using a special device.

One can imagine the operation to be like joining two ends of a tube together.

To join the blood vessels together, a special device was used. This type of device involves clamping the two ends of the blood vessels in a holding system. The two ends are then brought together in the device. The device then joins the inner walls of the two blood vessels without sewing.

Ultrasound is used to monitor the blood flow in the blood vessels that have been joined together.
