You have been fed through a tube in your stomach or bowel.
A tube like this may be a feeding tube fixed in the abdomen, for example. A feeding tube is a special tube. It leads through the abdominal wall into the stomach or the first segment of the intestines. This kind of feeding tube is put in during an operation. You can receive fluid and food through this tube.
When someone is fed through a tube into their stomach or intestine, the body should be given sufficient quantities of all nutrients and vitamins.
