Manipulation of urinary tract: Insertion, replacement and removal of ureteral stent: Insertion: Percutaneous-transrenal
A tube has been inserted into your ureter.
The ureter is a thin, muscular tube in the abdomen. There is usually one ureter on each side. The urine flows from the kidney, via the ureter, to the bladder.
A tube in the ureter is usually made of plastic. The aim of the tube is to ensure that the ureter remains open so that the urine can flow away unhindered. After an incision had been made in your skin, the tube was inserted into your ureter via your kidney.
