8-153:
Therapeutic aspiration and evacuation by puncture: Therapeutic percutaneous puncture of abdominal cavity
Your abdominal cavity has been punctured by a needle.
The abdominal organs are located in the abdominal cavity. The inside of the abdominal cavity is covered by a thin membrane. This thin membrane also surrounds all the organs in the abdomen. The organs can move against each other thanks to this thin membrane. When the abdominal cavity is punctured with a needle, any fluid that has collected, for example, can be drained off.
