Access during mechanical ventilation and using airway clearance techniques: Mechanical ventilation via face mask

A special mask was placed over your face to ventilate you.

With a ventilation machine or ventilation bag, air can get through the mask to the lungs. As a result, for example, the body should get a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
