The settings on your ventilation device have been changed.

You need lungs to breath. When we breathe in, oxygen enters the lungs and accumulates in the blood. This blood then flows to the heart. The heart then pumps the oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. All of the organs are supplied with oxygen as a result.

You will be ventilated outside the hospital so that enough oxygen gets into your body. A mask can be used for ventilation. A tube connected to a ventilation device is attached to the mask. The device assists breathing.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
