8-717.1:

Mechanical ventilation and respiratory assistance via face mask or tube and weaning from mechanical ventilation: Setup of nasal or oral-nasal positive airway pressure devices to treat sleep-related breathing disorders: Review or optimization of nasal or oral-nasal positive airway pressure system introduced previously

A while ago you were given a special breathing mask so that you get enough air when you are asleep. This device’s settings have now been changed.

The airways can narrow when someone is asleep. This is often the cause of someone getting insufficient air while they sleep. A ventilation device blows air continuously into your nose or mouth as you sleep. A special mask is used for this. This creates a slight positive pressure in the airways. It keeps the passage open for the air breathed in.
