You have been given blood plasma.

Blood is made up of a liquid part and different blood cells, among other things. The liquid part of the blood is also called blood plasma. Blood plasma is made up of water, among other things. Blood plasma carries nutrients and endogenous substances, such as messenger substances. Blood plasma contains, amongst other things, various proteins that have a variety of tasks. The proteins are important in blood clotting or the body’s defense function, for example.

You have been given special blood plasma which was prepared in a particular way beforehand. Blood plasma is usually administered by intravenous drip.
