(Percutaneous) transluminal stent implantation: (Percutaneous) transluminal implantation of bare-metal Cheatham-Platinum (CP) stents (CP stents): Two or more stents: Extracranial internal carotid artery with common carotid artery

A catheter has been used to implant some small tubes in an artery in your neck.

A catheter is a thin tube. This tube is inserted into a blood vessel in the groin or arm, and pushed further in. Various instruments can be pushed at the front of the tube.

Arteries are blood vessels that transport blood away from the heart. They supply all the tissue in the body with oxygen-rich blood.

Special little tubes were used that consist of a metal mesh and which can be expanded during the course of the patient’s life.
