A catheter has been used to implant a small tube in a vein in your thigh.
A catheter is a thin tube. This tube is inserted into a blood vessel in the groin or arm, and pushed further in. Various instruments can be pushed at the front of the tube.
Veins are blood vessels that transport the blood back to the heart.
A special tube was used in order to channel the flow of blood at a part of the blood vessel that has widened.
