A catheter has been used to implant some small tubes in a blood vessel in your abdomen.
A catheter is a thin tube. This tube is inserted into a blood vessel in the groin or arm, and pushed further in. Various instruments can be pushed at the front of the tube.
Specially wide tubes with a plastic coating were used.
Special tubes were also used in order to channel the flow of blood at a part of the blood vessel that has widened.
