Extracorporeal circulation and treatment of blood: Extracorporeal liver support (dialysis)
A machine was used to remove harmful substances from your blood. This is also known as liver dialysis.
The liver usually cleanses the blood to detoxify the body. If the liver is not working properly, certain substances can accumulate in the body. This can also happen if too many such substances occur because of a disorder. In these cases the blood can be cleansed outside the body in a machine.
Additional indicator
