A22.1: Pulmonary anthrax

You have been infected with anthrax pathogens.

Anthrax pathogens are specific bacteria. These bacteria are transmitted to humans from animals such as cattle, sheep or pigs, for example.

Anthrax bacteria have given you inhalation anthrax.

If you breathe in anthrax pathogens, you may develop inhalation anthrax. You may thus have a cough, fever and headache. This can turn into a very serious illness with high temperatures. You may have breathing problems and cough up blood.
