F60.7: Dependent personality disorder
In making decisions, you feel dependent on other people.
Everyone has personal characteristics that are deeply rooted. The personality involves certain patterns: how one things, feels and behaves. Personal characteristic patterns can exist that can cause problems in one’s work and social environment. This usually happens when behavioral patterns and thought patterns differ greatly from those of the majority of the population.
Your personality has changed. With this disorder, one may be disproportionately anxious about being abandoned and alone. When you are alone you quickly feel helpless. You may need a lot advice and confirmation from others before being able to make decisions. You are usually dependent an another person and you put that person’s needs before your own.
