F62.0: Enduring personality change after catastrophic experience
Your personality has changed after some extreme stress.
Everyone has personal characteristics that are deeply rooted. The personality involves certain patterns: how one things, feels and behaves. Personal characteristic patterns can exist that can cause problems in one’s work and social environment. This usually happens when behavioral patterns and thought patterns differ greatly from those of the majority of the population.
You have experienced something extreme. This may be an extreme experience such as a disaster or a lengthy, life-threatening situation. As a result, your personality and behavior have changed over a long period of time. You may be less trusting of the world around you, and withdraw socially. You may also be constantly tense and more irritable. You may also feel empty and hopeless inside. A changed personality can cause problems in your everyday life and your social circle.
