Protozoa are very small and consist of a single cell. They can infect the body as parasites and cause inflammation there. Parasites live completely or partially at the expense of another living organism.

Your illness is making the pregnancy, the birth or the weeks after the birth more difficult. You may also already have had this kind of disease before your pregnancy. Your illness may then also have got worse due to the pregnancy, the birth or the weeks after the birth.
