You had a painkilling drug injected into one or more joints in your spinal column.
The spine is made up of the individual vertebrae. Between every 2 vertebrae there is a vertebral disc. At the top and bottom of each there are 2 transverse processes. Along with the processes of adjacent vertebrae, these transverse processes form the small vertebral joints. The vertebral joints connect adjacent vertebrae to one another. You had the painkilling drug injected into one or more joints in your spinal column. If a painkilling drug is injected directly into a joint, pain in this area can be treated very precisely.
Your skin was pricked with a needle so that the medication would be delivered in the right place. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.
